About the Artist

Shelley Paxton

Midwestern artist from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Shelley Paxton, has been broadening her skills in painting since 2010.
 
Originally a sign painter in the 1990s, she now integrates her photography training and twenty-plus years of graphic design experience into her community art and painting.
 
Shelley states that her art and painting style are evolving because there is always more to learn and many beautiful ways to create art.  She maintains that designing and painting for people, especially her community,  is an enjoyable way to create art that is shared.
 
She’s currently finding inspiring subjects and learning new mediums to create a more intense and worthwhile art experience.
