Hardwood Groove is a Midwest-based band rooted in Detroit Lakes, MN, known for a genre-bending mix of bluegrass, folk, jazz, rock, and Americana.

Hardwood Groove’s music style ranges from bluegrass and folk to jazz and rock. Their forte is original music with an improvisational twist. This band of Midwest jammers take inspiration from a myriad of genres. Funk, rock, blues, Americana, and others combine into an electrified show with a focus on improvisation. Sweet harmonies will open your heart while dueling guitars, wailing sax, and a tight rhythm section will have you grooving all night.

Join us 5 – 8 pm on Thursday, August 20th, 2026 to hear Hardwood Groove & Friends at the Detroit Lakes City Park bandshell. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. Food trucks and a beer garden will be on site, ready for you to enjoy!
