My inspiration for this project was to highlight the plethora of beautiful and individually unique flowers and plants that grow native or wild in Minnesota
I wanted to inspire people to look at their surroundings and to keep an eye out for some of these flowers because when you spot one, you cannot help but marvel at it.

Hello, my name is Marin Westrum; I am 18, born and raised in Detroit Lakes. My favorite mediums to work with are acrylic and watercolor paints, pencils, and colored pencils.
I have been an artist since I was little, and my passion for art has grown. My motivation within my art is appreciating the beauty that surrounds us in our everyday lives.
