About the Program

Stumble Upon Art

Project 412 is excited have received a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council to partner with HIKEhoppers to offer “Stumble Upon Art” experiences as part of a summer youth program through Detroit Lakes Public Schools and the Historic Holmes Theatre!

The program will give youth the opportunity to learn how to use biodegradable materials to create art that will be placed on public biking and walking trails that the public will “stumble upon” in nature.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
