About the Artist

Thomas Dambo

Thomas Dambo is my company. As a Danish artist / designer with a master in design, I work together with my assistants to create art and design from old thrown away materials (to some known as upcycling).

By doing this I hope to inspire others to play with the world’s leftovers, see the possibilities and have fun. We have made anything from furniture and interior design to major art projects and sculptures in and outside of Denmark. We also make workshops teaching school kids, companies, and others about the potential of using “trash” as a material. influences include M.C. Escher, Eyvind Earle, Charles Schultz, and Dr. Seuss.

Thomas Dambo, recycle art activist

This is my biggest and most ambitious exhibition of my career.
I am so happy to have been given so much trust in my artistic decisions
and support from Project 412 and the Detroit Lakes community.
I am very excited to show you what is being stirred up.
